Back some years or so,
When I had no place to go
And the tearings up inside me

Honor Your Mother and Father
with a card acknowledging your donation in their honor...

Once again, it is the season when we remember our mothers and our fathers for the important roles they have played in our lives. Mother's Day and Father's Day provide an opportunity for each of us to give thanks for the ways we have been supported, loved, nurtured and blessed by our parents or by those who have been like parents to us. We invite you to recognize your mother or father or another important parent figure in your life by making a donation to the work of Help One Child.
Many children do not have loving parents or, worse, have experienced abuse and neglect at the hands of the ones who are supposed to protect and care for them. Help One Child exists to find loving homes for these children and, in this way, to help them understand God's love for them and their value as His children. We then provide the support and training often required to care for these precious ones whose trust has been violated.
If your donation is in honor of a special mother and the enclosed pledge card is received before May 5th, we will send a Mother's Day card to the woman you specifiy to let her know of your gift in her name. Similarly, if your donation honors a father, and your pledge card is received before June 9th, we will send him a Father's Day card acknowledging your gift in his honor. If your loved one has passed away, we will honor their memory in our next newsletter. The amount of your donation will be kept confidential.

We hope you will consider this unique way of helping to find loving parents for the many children who need them. Together, we can make a difference in the life of a child!
