Get Involved

There are many ways to support this campaign: Volunteer, invite your church to get involved, and pray.

Some Things You Can Do

1). Volunteer. Be a tutor. A mentor. A babysitter. Enlist your small group in a service project. Fill out the online volunteer application or sign up to attend an orientation. Consider inviting friends or your small group to do a mission project for foster children.

2). Get your church involved. Become a campaign champion at your church. Talk to your Church's Mission Board or Social Justice Committee about bringing a focus to "domestic orphans." Start a prayer group that receives Help One Child's weekly prayer and praise reports.

3). Pray. Please offer a special prayer on behalf of children in foster care waiting for a loving home. Pray for families to hear the call, come forward and for the right matches to be made.

4) Become a foster or fost-adopt parent. Attend a Help One Child orientation - see the orientation schedule. If you are interested in adopting a waiting child, there is an online searchable database for California children free for adoption at www.cakidsconnection.com.

5) Raise awareness. Tell friends and family about the need and contact your campaign champion for prayer cards with the names of foster children.

6) Make a financial contribution. Purchase a t-shirt that lists the names and ages of over a hundred foster children who currently need homes. Make a donation online with JustGive.
