To Find Records in the Database

  1. Choose "Find Mode" from the "View" menu, or hit the shortcut keystroke Apple + "F"



  2. Enter the criteria you want to sort by in the appropriate fields and select "Find" or press "Return."



  3. There are several helpful find characters to know....

    The wildcard character is a "*"
    when you enter * any records that contain any data in that field will be returned.

    i.e. a * entered in the Kid's Name field will return all records with Kid's (or those who have names)

    When you enter only "=" into a field and perform a find, only records for which there isn't any data are returned.

    i.e. you are looking for recorded deposits that do not have a Deposit Date... enter "=" in the deposit field and find

    To find a rage of dates in a a date field enter the two end dates separated by "..."

    i.e. search on 1/1/05...1/1/06 will return dates between 1/1/05 and 1/1/06
