Our 2Wire DSL Modem/Router looks like this...

It is usually operating correctly when all green lights are on. If you suspect a problem with the modem the first thing to try is powering down the modem. If that does not work the next step is to call sbc, the information on contacting technical support in the database under sbc in the organizations section.

  1. Turn the modem around and located the power cord on the back side.



  2. Disconnect the power cord, wait 30-60 seconds (sometimes residual currents in the modem circuitry will continue the problem if the modem is only powered down for a few seconds.)

  3. Pug the power cord back in a wait for all the lights to once again be steadily green, this may take up to a minute.

  1. After much pain and heartache we discovered that our network does not work without this check box unchecked !!!
